Who Owns KAWM?
KEY Advisors Wealth Management has been fiercely independent since it opened its doors in 2000. Today, we are solely and privately owned by Eddie Ghabour, the Co-founder and CEO.
What makes KAWM different?
We are not like your parents’ financial advisor. At KEY Advisors Wealth Management, we do not consider ourselves bears or bulls. Rather we take a balanced investment approach based on our exclusive data and analysis. So, there is no cookie-cutter approach that is rides the cycles. Our active and balanced approach uses the latest data and analysis to best protect and grow our clients’ wealth. The KEY Advisors approach to client management is also unique. We create a direct and hands-on experience, so you know who are working with and we’re always just a phone call, email or Zoom® away.
Does KAWM have their own fund?
We do not manage our own fund at KEY Advisors Wealth Management. We utilize the world-class Fidelity platform, through our dealer, DFPG. We leverage a full set of financial devices to actively grow and protect our client's wealth.
Who makes the firm’s investment decisions?
Our decision-making is one of our core differences from our competitors and the way things used to be. At KEY Advisors Wealth Management, we look at data and analyze and discuss as we team to ensure all points of view are taken into account. This ensures that decisions are removed from emotion and that we are making fact-based and the most infomed decisions for our client's portfolio.
What is a fiduciary?
A fiduciary is a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person or persons, putting their clients’ interests ahead of their own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust. Being a fiduciary thus requires being bound both legally and ethically to act in the other’s best interests.
Are the advisors at KAWM fiduciaries?
Yes, we are! We manage our clients’ money and are legally obligated to act in their best interest. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. We use the same principles to invest our own money, so we're taking “when you do better, we do better” to a whole new level.
How Do I become a client?
At KEY Advisors Wealth Management, we're a boutique firm that caters to high net-worth families. Our investment minimum is $1M USD, and once that's met, we'll arrange an introduction call with one of our advisors. Our aim is to ensure that our investment strategy aligns with your expectations. If we're a good fit, we'll schedule an introductory appointment via Zoom.
During that meeting, we'll review your financial situation and answer any questions your family may have. Sometimes, additional meetings are necessary to ensure that both parties are comfortable with the relationship. If we agree to move forward, we'll proceed to the onboarding process, which can take anywhere from 5-10 business days after the documents have been signed accurately.
How long prior to retirement should I meet with you?
It is never too early to start saving for retirement. However, every person and family are different. Once you have met our minimum, we can discuss a timeline that is realistic for you.
Are you fee-based?
As fiduciaries we operate under a fee-based model. We charge an annual 1% advisory fee.
Does KAWM have the ability to work with remote clients?
Yes, even though our offices are in the great state of Delaware, we service clients nationwide and have processes in place to support remote relationships.
